Company

In our century, a theatre that does not pursue a spiritual existence and ideas, and does not convey more-than-life, is not truly topical. One does not go to the theatre to see and hear life.

If so, then what? Probably the essences of life, what exists beyond forms, gestures, movements, or words, namely ideas, feelings, passions, tempers, destinies, contradictions, desires. One does not go to the theatre to get a feeling of life – that feeling may be experienced in the street, in everyday life; one goes to the theatre to discover what lies beyond that feeling, beyond life, beyond the perceptible mechanisms of life.

Theatre as a Metaphor was founded by Diana Miklos in 2007 as an extension of The Oxford School of Art, Music and Theatre.

With the help of many theatre enthusiasts, thespians and artistic advisers, the company produced  numerous shows in English and Romanian:

"Wedding Duet" by Lauren Wilson, "Post-Its (Notes on a Marriage)" by Paul Dooley & Winnie Holzman, Music and Poetry Show - "...there should be as many words for love, as the Innuit have for snow..." ("...il devrait y avoir autant de mots pour l'amour, que les innuits ont pour la neige..." ), "Les Petites Curieuses" by Tristan Bernard and  Music & Poetry Show for the Romanian Community.
